A decade in hiding has rusted Sten's skills and instincts, and he isn't ready when the assassin comes calling. Lucky to escape with an unexpected and untrustworthy companion, he must dredge up his old self to survive.

The hunter is persistent and connected, and not the end of Sten's troubles. The Royal Guard, bandits and the occasional shark pose dangers, though none as threatening as the man he used to be.
